DOWNTOWN STRATEGIC PLAN 2020We hired a professional firm (Downtown Strategies) to conduct a new strategic plan for our downtown. Many of you were able to attend one of the community meetings. These are the top 5 priorities that Downtown Strategies outlined in their plan, in no particular order:
- Create a Community Improvement District to benefit downtown property owners
- Create a pedestrian only area.
- Research and implement business incentives.
- Implement a vacant storefront registration program.
- Create a “To-go cup” ordinance within the pedestrian only area.
